In Chapter 8 we explore the fifth phase of the LAUNCH Cycle: Create.
C: Create a Prototype
In this next phase, they create a prototype. It might be a digital work or a tangible product, a work of art or something they engineer. It might even be an action or an event or a system.
Here are some questions to ask after reading Chapter 8:
- How can you tell that your project is an actual project and not a “recipe”?
- In what ways can we support the creative process so students can overcome the six challenges of creating prototypes?
- Why is attitude so important in this phase? How can we model it as a teacher/leader?
- Are there areas in your curriculum or schedule where you can begin to infuse this fifth phase of the LAUNCH Cycle? What about in your own professional practice?
